We are happy to announce that Dylan Mooijman has joined SCD as our new Head of R&D, where he will be running our growing R&D department.
Dylan is originally from a small coastal village in the western part of Holland but obtained his PhD after working in London, Boston, and finally Utrecht, the Netherlands. After a detour through Germany, he has come back to Utrecht at the SCD headquarters.
He has extensive experience developing single-cell genomics methods. Previously, he has published multiple single-cell DNA methylation sequencing technologies and he has a penchant for improving sequencing methods to allow experiments to run better, faster, and cheaper.
Outside of work, Dylan loves combat sports, reading, and not going to a hairdresser until everyone around him starts complaining. He is really excited to start working at SCD and get the R&D ball rolling even harder.
