We are happy to announce that Kelly Klaassen has joined the team as a Digital Marketer. During her internship for Single Cell Discoveries, she will be responsible for investigating the needs and wants of commercial clients, which can be used to improve Single Cell Discoveries’ offerings.
Kelly completed her BSc degree in Biology and Medical Laboratory Research at Saxion University of Applied Sciences in Enschede. During her previous research internships, she gained experience in both wet and dry labs. In her previous internship at Leiden University Medical Centre (LUMC), Kelly Klaassen studied white matter hyperintensity (WMH) shape on brain MRI in community-dwelling older adults. She found that WMH shape on brain MRI is associated with cognitive decline and dementia later in life.
Kelly decided to take a new challenge and pursue an MSc in Biomedical Sciences with a specialization in Management at the University of Leiden. This master’s has a dual nature and allows graduates to combine their passions for both science and business.
