Can samples be safely handled within a standard BSL-1 laboratory? Biosafety level 1 (BSL-1) applies to laboratory settings in which personnel work with low-risk microbes that pose little to no threat of infection in healthy adults.

Library Quality

It is important that your libraries are of high quality before sequencing. We recommend performing a quality control check on your libraries using a TapeStation or Bioanalyzer system before sending them for sequencing.

Refer to the appropriate 10x Genomics protocol for the QC metrics of the libraries.

FAQ

What is the turnaround time for next generation sequencing?

As the fastest sequencing service provider in Europe, we are dedicated to turnaround times for 1–2 weeks for 10x Genomics single-cell transcriptomics libraries and other Illumina compatible libraries.

Do you perform any QC on the library pools?

Yes, all sequencing libraries received at SCD follow an exhaustive quality control process. We perform a qualification (fragment analyzer) and quantification (qPCR-based method) of the sequencing pools. Samples which do not meet the minimum requirements for sequencing are not processed.
